Premise: A bunch of students are enlisted by an eccentric scientist to help explore an as-yet-uncharted section of jungle, populated by undiscovered flaura and fauna. Little do the students know that the scientist has ulterior motives...
Now... in short, this movie was crap. The jungle should be an awesome location for a horror, full of danger and mystery. However, this movie makes no use of it other than it's isolation, to the point that we don't even really care about the setting.
I found the acting to be generally uninteresting, which doesn't help support a script with more holes than I'd care to count, coupled with poor dialogue and poor pacing.
Also, the effects were terrible. The monkeys themselves are only actually seen once (and are ot very convincing), and the gore effects are laughably unrealistic.
This movie really has no saving aspects. I would recommend giving this one a wide berth.
